Postgraduate simulation training network
Doctors2Doctors is a physician-led network of simulation training centers. We prepare surgeons and specialists on high-fidelity simulators, from their first case to the newest equipment and techniques.
Surgeons have always learned on patients. Simulation changes the order. Practice the case until your hands know it, prove it against a shared standard, and only then walk into the operating room.
One standard for every specialty that trains on a simulator.
-
Cataract and phacoemulsification first, on the simulator class used for surgical assessment.
2.2 mm incision · 5.5 mm capsulorhexis · 1.5 mm endothelial margin -
Catheter navigation, coronary and valve procedures rehearsed before the cath lab or the operating room.
6 Fr guide catheter · 3–4 mm coronary arteries -
Microsurgical approaches where a millimetre is the whole margin, practiced until they are routine.
Sub-millimetre vessels · 6–10× microscope magnification -
Arthroscopy, implant placement and spinal fixation with the feel of real instruments.
4 mm arthroscope · 4.5–7.5 mm pedicle screws -
Triangulation, depth and two-handed work through ports, then the same skills on robotic consoles.
5–12 mm trocars · 12–15 mmHg pneumoperitoneum -
Scope handling, loop reduction and therapeutic endoscopy with no risk to a patient.
13 mm colonoscope · 3.2–3.8 mm working channel -
Wire and catheter skills, angiography and embolization under simulated fluoroscopy.
0.035 in guidewire · 4–6 Fr sheaths -
Airway management, intubation and crisis teamwork, rehearsed together as a team.
7.0–8.0 mm adult endotracheal tube · 28–32 Fr chest drain -
Deliveries, obstetric emergencies and gynecologic laparoscopy, rehearsed until they are routine.
10 cm full dilation · shoulder dystocia drills
Also planned: ENT, urology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, pediatric surgery, dental and maxillofacial surgery.
From laptop to operating-room-grade simulator, in three tiers.
Each tier feeds one competency record, so the next instructor sees exactly what you have already proven.
-
Tier 1
Desktop Academy
3D surgical anatomy, procedural sequencing and hazard recognition on your own laptop, online or offline.

- Knowledge and judgment
-
Tier 2
Immersive Skills Lab
Bimanual coordination, depth and pivot control with VR headsets and portable practice stations.

- Spatial and motor skill
-
Tier 3
Regional Simulation Hubs
Time on high-fidelity simulators with faculty, for assessment, remediation and certification.

- Verified readiness
Built for trust before it is built for scale.
Physician-led
Practicing physicians sponsor each center and teach in it. Doctors teach doctors.
One competency record
Knowledge, safety and motor skill tracked across every tier and mapped to recognized rubrics, such as ICO-OSCAR in ophthalmology.
Privacy by design
Training never requires real patient data. Learner records are encrypted, and learners decide who can see them.
Certified Doctors2Doctors
Graduates earn a credential that any hospital can verify online, linked to the record behind it.

One standard.
Every country.
Centers are sponsored by physicians and funded with partners and donors, so a resident anywhere can train to the same bar and carry the same credential.
The Hiring Board: verified surgical talent for hospitals worldwide.
Graduates can publish their competency record. Hospitals search by specialty, procedure, assessed tier and language, then contact candidates directly.
- Search by procedure and the tier where it was assessed
- Every credential checked at the source
- Candidates choose who can see their profile
Illustrative profile. Names and scores are examples.
The next decade of medicine will be trained here first.
-
Pharmaceutical and device companies co-develop training for new drugs, implants and instruments, so clinicians practice before launch.
-
Models review every simulated case, measure tremor, path and timing, and coach the next attempt. Faculty keep the final sign-off.
-
Training for robotic platforms and the techniques they make possible, on the same competency record.
Also in development.
Programs we are designing with physicians and partners for the years ahead.
Device launch academies
Manufacturers certify surgeons on new equipment before it reaches the operating room.
Outcomes registry
Anonymized links between simulator performance and clinical outcomes, to show which training works.
Faculty fellowship
Experienced surgeons teach, proctor and earn across the network.
Scholarships and sponsored centers
Donors fund training seats, or a whole center in a region with the greatest need.
Continuing education credit
Simulation hours that count toward continuing medical education where regulators allow it.
Mobile simulation units
Portable labs that bring Tier 2 training to hospitals far from a hub.
Founding partners set the standard.
We are forming the first group of hospitals, companies and sponsors. Each founding seat helps shape the curriculum, the centers and the credential.
Hospitals and universities
Host a center, send residents and faculty, and recruit from the Hiring Board first.
Partner as an institutionPharma, device and robotics companies
Co-develop training for new products and run research joint ventures.
Invest or sponsorInvestors, foundations and donors
Fund centers, scholarships and the platform that connects them.
